Simply paradise on earth, as in the movie which was shot here. If you come here during day, prepare that beach will be overcrowded by hundreads of tourist having same idea as you. Nice walk in jungle.
It is gorgeous! You can take pictures of the long-tail boats with the stunning cliffs in the background. The rest of the bay is full of people. Get there at sunrise/sunset to avoid the crowd.
Following tour either from Krabi or Phuket will always crowded. The better choice is stay at PhiPhi Island and hire the long tail boat in the morning, then you can enjoy the peace of Maya
Take a private taxi boat. Go before 8:30am and enjoy the beach alone. If the weather is bad in the morning wait until late afternoon. Apart for the money for the taxi, take money for the entrance fee.
It is a beautiful beach and sharks can be seen if you go before 08:00. It is generally full of tourists and is, at the end of the day, a beach. Phi Phi has many others that are less touristy.
Breath taking view. My boat almost leave me there because I was too busy swimming and exploring the bay. Get here early in the morning so you have a little space 2 share with hundred of tourists daily
For experienced divers, Maya Bay is a good spot to discover soft coral and marine life. This beach gets very crowded, we suggest to go early to avoid tourists.
The famous beach in the movie "The Beach". It's not quite what you expect and absolutely ask your boat captain to try and beat the rest of the crowds. 😄🇹🇭
Beautiful secluded beach but unless you get there very early it will be seething with tourists. Unluckily when I went swimming there was jellyfish with stingers.
Updated 2022: Neither speedboats nor long tails are allowed to stay at Maya Bay. with patience, you can make great photoz like you're alone at the beach!
Maya Bay Sleep Aboad was an incredible journey and an unforgettable night. Diving with the planctons at 2am was the greatest of great moments. we could not really sleep, but that was fine
Lovely place, the only thing is that there's a fee of 400 baht and the beach has a lot of garbage and I didn't see anyone cleaning it. Not even trash cans.
