A photo in Saturn's chairs is a must. Bring a wide angle lens, or it'll be next to impossible to get a good shot of both of you at the same time.

神戸で最初に公開された異人館。1905年頃に神戸旧居留地外国人向けの高級借家として建設、大正年間に現在地に移転、後にドイツ人のR.ハリヤーの住居。正称は旧ハリヤー邸だが、外壁に貼られた天然スレートが魚鱗状に見えることから「うろこの家」の愛称がある。国の登録有形文化財、入館料は西隣に美術館を併設しているためか1,050円。

1905 年頃に旧居留地に竣工した木造 2 階建、黒桟瓦葺の建物で、大正期に当地に移築。有形文化財としては「うろこの家 (旧ハリヤー邸) 主屋」の名で登録。うろこグループの旗艦館で、入館料も一番高い。
