Burger King, Starbucks and Macdonald’s are all here. Helps to kill some time as flight are almost always delayed. Check in here opens 3h before flight.

I like T2 at Pudong, but it’s more convenient to fly into Hongqiao if there’s a flight available and you don’t need a taxi, the taxi queue in Hongqiao is a nightmare.

A cab from here to the city center will cost you about 200RMB, a metro ride no more than 7RMB. Everything very new and clean, at least the don't spit here inside

Perhaps this lovely water feature was installed to detract from the complete lack of any bars in the many, many miles of T2.

If you think you'll have some shopping from duty free them you might get upset here, because here are only few shops and they are also closed. So buy everything from before immigration.

Burger king and some convenience stores on first floor (arrivals). On second floor (departures) at the left escalator you can wrap suitcases or fragile items for reasonable price. Good Wi-Fi @ gate E.

Go to Burger King on the second floor for WiFi access. There's a password on the counter for "6am free wifi", but after that you need to get another code from any of the BK workers. Welcome to China!

Taxis are scams ! Use Didi instead. The waiting post is at B1 level of the P2 parking lots (follow the signs for Parking). If you don't have the Didi app, use the web version in WeChat Wallet.

Avoid the restaurants and cafes on the ground level after you cleared the customs. Most of them are a tip off. Head to level 2 where you'll find a cafe, noodle stall, pizza stand and Burger King.

Take care on non official taxi driver, although looking official with their dress. Try to pick after the arrival. Take instead maglev, the hypertrain at highspeed to Shanghai and than by taxi or metro

Sit for 5-10 minutes after the landing time if your picking someone up. The gate to the exit is long and yes baggage maybe a little while. Or just make sure they have (SMS) when they get of the plane.

Be aware, they are misinterpreting TSA rules and disallowing ALL liquids > 180ml on board the aircraft. Even if you purchased it *after* security. Actual TSA rule here: http://prec.is/Qedc0T
