Been here 5+ times
There are a number of "hidden" historical goodies here, so spend some time walking around the whole grounds and looking for placards. Don't let the big gov't building get in the way of seeing history!

The well on top of the keep is called "Fuku-no-i" and is the namesake of Fukui castle, city,and prefecture.

戦国時代の柴田勝家、江戸時代の越前松平家の居城跡。福井駅から徒歩すぐの官庁街に位置します。Ruin of Fukui Catsle. Sengoku Era and Edo Era. Located near Fukui Station.
