二条城は，慶長7(1602)年徳川家康(1542～1616)の築城の命を受け，翌年完成。幕府の警衛と上洛時の宿所として使用された。寛永3(1626)年家光(1604～51)の代に改築して，現在の規模となった。慶応3(1867)年この城において大政奉還が上表された。 Read more
