To see Yoshitomo Nara's "A to Z" Art work on daily life, don't miss Aomori dog designed by Yoshitomo Nara, it's near gate 7, but you need to go upstairs and then downstairs to get there

Nice architecture and cozy space. But staffs are very strict about the route. If we go off the route, a staff immediately suggests the correct route!

白壁のカーブした外観が特徴的な美術館。館内は、土を削ったようなトレンチが随所にあり、隣接した三内丸山遺跡とシンクロしている。奈良美智のあおもり犬が有名。

青森県立美術館に『奈良美智: The Beginning Place ここから』を観に来た。初期の『カッチョのある風景』から最近の『Midnight Tears』、ペイント、立体、インスタと沢山の奈良美智作品を満喫、久し振りに『あおもり犬』も見られた。

あおもり犬もさることながら、豊富なコレクションがいい。また、美術館自身がひとつの作品なので、そこも充分に愉しめる。

常設展は大人500yen。澤田教一さんの「安全への逃避」、シャガール３点は必ず見て下さいね。
