Its absolutely gorgeous and easily one of my favorite spots in Korea. Hikes can be challenging but you get rewarded with spectacular views. Cap it off with haemul pajeon (seafood panckae) and makkeoli
Wear a comfortableshoes if you want to hike to the mountain. You have to buy a cable car's ticket to go to the hiking site. The view is very worth the hike.
About a 3 hr drive out of Seoul but definitely worth the effort. Can make a long day trip out of it or spend the night in a town nearby. Many hikes to choose from, from short to multi-day. Beautiful.
Should come here.. ride cable car then hike to the top. You'll get the beautiful view. Also go further inside where the temples stand. Nice spot for photo taking.
The cable car costs 9,000₩ and it's already almost 4,000₩ per person to get into the park. I recommend climbing. Ulsan Rock has a nice view, but pace yourself. It gets steep.
Busy near the entrance but crowds get thinner as you venture further inland. Hikes not recommended to those with knee injury/problem (many, many stairs). Buses run from/to Sokcho until after sunset.
