Great views, but a tough climb :) Lots of guards are stationed here, and photos are not allowed in some directions. Worth it though for a great view of Seoul.

Sukjeongmun is the north gate. It is the only remaining gate whose sides are still connected with the wall. Built in 1976, the gate pavilion was newly added to the wall.

서울성곽을 이루는 사대문(四大門) 가운데 하나로, 도성의 북쪽 대문이다. 1396년(태조 5) 9월 도성의 나머지 삼대문과 사소문(四小門)이 준공될 때 함께 세워졌다. 원래 이름은 숙청문(肅淸門)으로, 도성 북쪽에 있는 대문이라 하여 북대문·북문 등으로도 부른다. Read more
