Donate, this zoo could really use it! Nice place, free, and good way to spend the afternoon. The parks surrounding the zoo is beautiful, too! Pack a picnic!

Incredible place to visit. Free, but donations are what keep it running. Volunteers are always informative and helpful. Beautiful gardens and fun animal exhibits.

You'll want to watch the flamingos. They're so peaceful, quiet, and funny if you look at how cautiously and delicately they step into the water. Don't forget their deserved camera shot!

Great place to visit. Beautiful park, not too big, doesn't require all day to see the animals and enjoy a zoo visit. Conservatory building is gorgeous!

Definitely go in the summer time. It's not too big which is nice, but seals and sea lions have practically no space when they are inside. Orangutangs looked pretty depressed too.

Did you know? The Zoo got its start in 1897 when the city fenced off a pasture in Como Park to hold three deer, received as a gift. Read more

I came on a slower day, it was raining and there weren't many people there. This seemed to make the animals less timid. The wolves were right at the fence. It was the closest I've ever been to a wolf.

Conservatory is great but the zoo itself is animal cruelty, and I feel terrible for the animals in those conditions, especially the primates.

Animals aren't allowed out unless temps are at least 50° during day & night. Carousel and picnic area bathrooms not even open. Disappointing visit on the 1st warm weekend since fall.

Go on a cold day and beat the crowds. Skip the zoo boo though; way too crowded and nothing to do really but collect candy. Strangely enough there's no opportunity at zoo boo to actually see animals.
