Everyone knows of the great shopping and theme parks, but Hong Kong also has awesome hiking trails through the mountains, nature preserves and bird sanctuary. Well worth the time to decompress. ⛰
Big airport with many shops and hey it's a great place to browse around while waiting for your flight. However to found your gate for boarding it's different story make sure you're able to walk fast!!
Downstairs from Gate 23 is a FREE ‘Relaxation Room’ you can sleep in, but it only has 14 chaises. If you need a spot to snooze, come early or in off-peak times to snag your spot.
Don't be in a hurry to leave! This is actually one of the best places in town to work for free. Fast, reliable, unlimited internet and comfy seating. Get a coffee and get to work.
Bilingual signs in Chinese and English. Spacious, generally clean. Good access to public transport including a train service (Airport Express, connects with the wider MTR network), buses, & taxis.
Thank you to all my friends in Hong Kong, now I'm arriving in HK international airport, nice and big airport with many facilities, awesome, see you again friends..
Airport expresstrain gets u to the city in 23 min. Buy tickets for 40% cheaper on the KLOOK app & receive a qr code u can scan at the gate. Another HK$28 off with this referral code: DT9PN
Cathay Checkin = B, Dragon Air = H. You can self-checkin at either, but only drop your bag at the correct one. Since they codeshare, they could at least put the counters next to each other!
Best airport! ✈️ Super accessible with Airport expresstrain and reliable in-town check-in. Careful of the freezing A/C though, esp. in the train shuttle between terminals
Visit the Air France KLM lounge at gate 60. They serve PorkCheese. Well, that's how 'kaaskroketten' has been translated. Envision milking a gilt and make a porkcheese. Dutch innovation! Dig in!
U need to come HKG earlier than other airport. Because it is very large and need to use tram.. it could take more time than u have expected. There are not many restaurant when it comes to it’s size.
For long layover, book room @ "day-rate" @ Regal AirportHotel at www.AllTheRooms.com. Spend day watching planes land from Exec. Lounge on 11th FL. Fab views and great coffee! Spa & pool nice.
Overall it's a fast and easy airport to get to. Good food courts w/ fast food to higher end food which is nice to have options . 2 food courts... go to far food court gates 40-80 W/ less crowds
Real big - load up on candy with your spare cash from Mannings, ear plugs from the duty free, and listen for "please mind your staps" on the moving sidewalk 😆😆😆
Practical and convenient to use, hassle free..it will make your travel at any location in hk easier (airport express, mtr, and bus). You may also use this card to buy goods/items in 711, mannings, etc.
One of the most convenient and efficient airports I've transited through and arrived/departed from. Awesome airporthotel adjacent to terminal, and a wide array of transport options to HK city centre.
Chargers for your devices everywhere, hi-speed free wifi everywhere, something to eat or drink everywhere, I just love this airport! Oh and off course Hong Kong too!
Hands down my favorite airport in the world, and I've been to quite a few. I especially love the convenient in-town check-in when taking the Airport Expresstrain (機場快線)
This is of course the airport I've visited most and one of my favourites. Large, lots of shops and cafes, efficient and clean. But it gets busy all the time and may take some time to wait for luggages
What's great about Hong Kong Airport is that there's an outlet nearby, with Factory Stores from Nike, Adidas, Burberry and other shops. Spend some time there in case your flight is delayed.
Modern architecture and spacious. Finding your way should be easy following the signs... only if you know where you must go; Always make sure to check prior to your departure which terminal to go to.
Take the Airport Expresstrain to get to HK in 24 mins. Just buy it on KLOOK for 42% off. You get another HK$25 discount if you sign up with this referral code JKINF. Happy travels! 😄
Airport Expresstrains every 12mins sched. Takes you to Central in 24mins. It is cheaper & faster than taxis. Even if u are 4 people is only 220HKD to Kowloon. Must try!
Huge airport. Be sure to check in and head for immigration and security check early to avoid missing your flights since the distance from your check in/immigration to your ACTUAL gate can be very far!
Really enjoyed the meals at The Spaghetti House. Egg plant with mozarella and garlicfoccacia. Try the new bacon & chicken pasta... wholesome food packed with flavour. What a way to end the trip.
5 Cathay lounges are located at: Gate 2 (The Wing), Gate 16 (G16 Lounge), Gate 23 (The Cabin, which has good hot sandwiches and juices), Gate 40 (The Bridge), and Gate 63 (The Pier)
Very well organised. Fast and free wifi access, fast shuttle services between terminals, short queueing times at immigration. Taxis take you to Tsim Sha Tsui for around HK$ 250.
World class in every way. Amazing selection of boutiques for last minute shopping. Diverse food court and lounge options. Airporttrain provides seamless transportation to the city after a long flight
Why does HK intl Airport paint gates number in yellow which are originally in white ? Norman Foster must feel current practice sad against original design concept.
Use Airport Express to go to downtown. It is cheap. Fast. Convenient. (Unless your hotel offers shuttle or limousine service. It is my fav route back to the airport. In town check in and off you go.
Very huge airport, Free very fast wifi is easily detected with no password. You can take the train to Central, if wanna stop by at Disneyland. Can leave Baggage on Arrival Hall, 10$ per piece/hour. :)
Not only free wifi, free internet services computers are readily available all over the airport. Plus, everyone is incredibly fluent in English and friendly.
Best airport I've seen so far. The place is huge with various resto. The service is good with understanding staff, quick responses and relatively good english. Free fast WiFi. 3 pin connector charger
Take a moment to enjoy views of Lantau mountains when you’re at airport gates - the juxtaposition of nature vs manmade HK airport is a sight to marvel at 🙂
OMG! The HKIA is Huge (530 Gates). If u've Layover for over 5 hours, Get to the Immigration & ask for a 1 day VISA (Free) & u can go visit the City (u need to come back 2 hours before ur next flight)
It's not often that I wish I had just a little more time during a layover but here I find I do. Spacious, full of shops and restaurants, and generally convenient. One of my favorite airports.
Welcome to HK ! The best designed airport in Asia w' an efficiently processing. Go through HK immigration 6times within 2years & y'll be eligible for HK-Frequent-Visitor-Card w' exclusive lane
If you are heading for Discovery Bay North Plaza by taxi aim for the blue, if not available go for the red taxi. (they (red) might complain since it is not a good deal for them, but must go there)
If you're flying business class on Cathay Pacific, the BridgeLounge is worth the walk. Good food options, decent showers and a good variety of seating.
One of the best & most efficiently run airports in the world!Shop ur heart out w\ luxe brands to fast fashion like Zara!Food court filled w\ variety & several full service cafes & restaurants
If you are a Hong Kong permanent resident and have another passport, you can enter through either line for the initial check. Pick the shorter one and head to the HK resident line once you're inside.
The food court in Terminal 2 is awesome! I ate at "the Peak Lookout aim the second floor! The food was excellent. Try the Nasi Goreng. Free charging station at each table on the floor.
On your way back out of hong kong, see of your airline lets you check in at Central in Hong Kong. Leave your luggage and travel easy on the airport express!
