The Florida Theatre is a historical venue that opened to the public in 1927. It's one of the best places to go see a show or concert. It evokes memories of a bygone era. Great atmosphere!
I attended an event here last December (2014). Beautiful nostalgic venue with architectural details so intriguing that I found myself photographing the interior. Loved it! Very intimate setting..
The historic stage was once home to vaudeville; today it hosts 200 performances annually that range from classical and pop to country and the blues, as well as ballet, opera and lectures.
The volunteers and staff here are the best. Make sure you show up early/on time for your show to prevent doing the seat shuffle and annoying those around you.
