Overall good food quality and friendly service. Large amounts of space for big groups! We really enjoyed the dessert and dessert menu (pictures that hung on the wall-see picture)
For this place, you just need to bite the bullet (the bill) and go there for the atmosphere. It's a Jakarta classic. Food and drinks are good actually, but, yes, it's pricey. 50k++ for a small beer
Bitter Ballen. French Onion Soup. Spaghetti Carbonara. The Real Steak Sandwich. Australian Rack Of Lamb. Tom Yam Gong. Chicken Satay. Broccoli with Garlic. Char Siu. Ham Sui Gok. Lime Juice. Bandrek.
Nice and cozy place. A little bit pricey but it worth. Good food, classic or jazz music. Clasic decoration, surounding with colonial style building. Feel like "Tuan/Nyonya" in colonial age.
I had a mi goreng, some satays and couple of draft beers. Almost guest was foreigners when I visited. Wide windows and antique interior was impressed so gorgeous and imposing I want to revisit there.
Food quality and selection is just awesome for Western people, it's ahead of most locals-only restaurants. Good if you work in Jakarta and still miss UK But live music has very unstable reputation
Live music is available during the day. The price for meals and beverages are a little bit pricey with 21% taxes. A descent place to chill. The restaurant has retro powder rooms design.
Nice wooden mezzanine on the upper floor, overlooking central square and it's lovely ambiance. Even if it is a touristic place, still here you can feel the ambiance of old Batavia
A nice restaurant to hang out & enjoy meals in Batavia old square. The area can be a bit crowded at night so Sunday brunch is the best. Food & beverages are okay. NEVER underestimate their cocktails!
Hip old-fashioned establishment for those who fancy early 20th century atmosphere. Nice food, but pricey. Probably because the portion is large too. Sharing w/ a partner or friend may be a good idea.
It is pricey here N food is average, but it is a place you gotta come and sit if you are in fatahilla sq. fruit punches are refreshing and expensive for Jkt, but the nostalgia and Aircon makes up 4 it
Don't bring your camera, u must pay millions idr for some pictures.. It would be my 1st & my last :) in my opinion, it's not a good way to serve & maintain a good relationship with customers..
Before we go in the people around said that "the prices are super high" however the menu is as expensive as a standart famous cafe. The building, decor is great. Staff looks bored. Food is average.
Go to Café Batavia at Taman Fatahilla in Old Jakarta (Kota) for a breathtaking ambiance. Will take you straight back to the 1930s and 40s. Check out the photographs even in the toilets! Read more
It sells the decor, not the food. The food is overpriced n tastes below standard 😓. Tho the decor is cute but I say the pics in the toilet scare me. Can u imagine pis surrounded by pics of dead ppl?
