Great rooms loved Jackie O & JFK art and for sure has the most variety of cable channels compared to even the creme de la creme of hotels no hassle with security for ur guests and modern lounge area
This is my second stay at this hotel and I must say it's much better than most people here seems to think. I've paid more than double the price for smaller rooms in less central locations in NYC.
Honestly, it is not that bad.The design is cool, the staff have been perfectly fine, and the room is small but comfortable.Cons:The bathroom needs an overhaul, and the bed is small. I'm happy overall.
Ask for a street side room, there's a construction on the backside that will start @7:00am and looks like it is inside the room, impossible to get any rest. Also the a/c won't cool even during winter.
Interior is decorated interestingly. Very funky and strange, but in a good way. Some rooms are older and more run down. We had to switch rooms because of a leak in the bathroom. New room was bigger.
"THERE'S NOTHING WE CAN DO. MAYBE YOU'LL FIND ANOTHER HOTEL ONLINE" was the manager answer. Well, we did found it. A better and less expensive one in the middle of the storm. Thank you very much.
If you take a single room, I can tellit is so small you cannot open your suitcase on floor and leave the room because the room is so small! Take double room always even if alone.
Pros: cool location, pretty lobby, not too expensive, friendly staff. Cons: walls are SO THIN, it gets up to 100 degrees at night, dingy furniture, crap bathroom, crap wifi (like 50 kb/second crap).
Good place, only some steps from Times Square, but dirty, and unpessoal. On weekend very expensive costs, go to Belvedere Hotel also at 48th that will be better...
They charge $40 for shared van to EWR, you can get the same ride for $19 online... Most hotels take only $5 extra service charge and not +110% :( just book directly
Beautiful Lobby so you'd think the rest of the hotel would be just as nice right? That's not the case. Rooms are dirty and I got stuck in the bathroom because the door broke! Overpriced for quality!
Its by luck... My room is great, but the one where my parents are staying is terrible, smell bad and has old furniture! The cleaning lady also doesnt knocks, just walk inside the room
Towels are old and the bathroom products are low quality. We have stayed here 9 hole nights and we had to reschedule our flight because of sandy hurricane. The hotel didn't give us any assistance.
Worst Hotel ive been. Rooms smell horrible, Tv sucks, showers are cold, water leaks all night, elevator doesnt open on my floor, attention is rude and unpolite, and expensive. Location is the only plu
Worst service ever! Their team r trained to charge you and not to care about your stay. The lobby make u feel like the hotel will be nice. they tried to change it but the room still old and dirty.
Rude staff! They were too lazy to make a reservation for a shuttle-van. "No sorry, you have to do it yourself". This hotel is great for people who love the awful smell of Asian food!
Terrible wifi doesn't even work on 10th floor, small rusty bathroom, staff barely speaks English, awful boxed bfast, bad housekeeping. The worst hotel I've ever stayed in.
Tacky rooms with broken furniture and dirty walls and rusty run down bath. Staff not understanding of concerns that the place is miss rated. My opinion Don't stay here.
