You can hardly find a more authentic Middle East atmosphere than here. Excellent food is hidden everywhere, also in the nearby streets. Two signs: many locals and everything only in Hebrew.
A must visit! This shook has it all - Halva, Turkish Delight, Fresh Pita, Borekas, spices - you name it, it's there. Take your time and wander the stalls taking in all the sights, sounds, and smells.
If you are a market lover consider this as a must visit in Tel Aviv. Packed with locals who buy fresh fruits and vegetables. Find the the wellhidden restaurants and the Burek maker near the entrance!
Visit Dr. Halva, candies and sweets, Beer Bazaar, you can also find in the market squeezed juices, Baklava, Jerusalem bagel, Rogalach, nuts, spices and more. (watch out as it can get very crowded)
Definetly crowded and takes time to learn how to get around, but by far my favorite place in Tel Aviv. Go there before sunset, grab a few Le'chamim cheese sticks and some tomatoes and make a picnic
What’s good? Well if you enjoy the smell off spices and don’t mind the gorgeous smell of different foods than this is for you, big time. You must visit the king of halva just wonderful. Just go enjoy
The Best Suk/Market in Tel Aviv. You can find here anything from CheapClothes, Fresh produce & Meat & Flowers. Also, many nice eateries all around. Plus Great Arts & Crafts Fest on Nahalat Binyamin.
This is the main food market in Tel Aviv. Take a wander down here for fresh fruit and veg, freshly baked bread... and there's even a beautiful flower stall right in the middle of all the commotion!
The 7 shekel falafel they sold in one of the stands here when I visited was the best (and cheapest) falafel in Tel Aviv. You cant miss it, they announce the price at the top of their lungs. :)
Love this place. Such chaos - loads of great looking fruit, veg, spices and nuts etc. lots of tourists but also normal Israelis doing their shopping. Well worth a visit
At the end of the day it's just a market, but the food is really good. Especially the burika/boureka in the southern part of the market. They also have sugar-sprinkled doughnuts.
There's a great open air cafe in the middle serving great coffee and a selection of fresh dishes. Sit for a while and soak up the hustle and bustle of Tel Aviv life around you.
There is a sandwich/grill station inside the shuk with a red and white awning. The guys that work there are super friendly and it is delicious. ~Marissa, Tel Aviv University
Great fresh produce and other products. But beware if you're a foreigner, because they will rip you off and more often than not will not want to bargain with you
Medium out doors market with low quality textile and glasses. Nightmare on Fridays. Check out the small places around it. A lot of cheap and good fast food choices.
Don't leave without trying the Burekas at 'Turkey Original' - a small bakery on the western end of the market. Apparently they're some of the best in town!
If you're looking for the cheap stuff, come late. Also, if don't come on friday if you don't have to - the market is full of turists and lots of people with baby carts.
