I've lived in NYC for 20 years and this is the only place that has prices that shock me and make me feel like an idiot for going back. Food is good, just crazy overpriced.
Bagels sliced and toasted perfectly. Be warned, however, of the laughably high prices on some other basic menu items. It is the upper east side after all.
Ina Garten, of Food Network's The Best Thing I Ever Ate, can't resist the comforting Grilled Cheese Sandwich at E.A.T. in New York, NY. Find more tips at FN Local. Read more
Overpriced. But the bread and sandwiches are very good and the staff is nice and polite. The pies looked great, but I wasn't hungry enough to also try a slice.
Interesting little spot. As I was awaiting outside I just saw drivers picking up women for their all day shopping sprees. How the other half lives I guess.
Way overpriced. I don't care that it's on Madison- you can't charge $5.50 for an espresso! Unfortunately I had ordered it before seeing the menu (no menus outside to see) otherwise I would have left.
Absurd prices. Overpriced is an understatement. Food is often terrible. Burned ham and cold eggs today. The only edible thing was a $14.00 small bowl of mixed berries that probably were not organic.
