Fall Foliage: Walk under a canopy of autumn’s rich palette of towering oaks, and an under-layer of Dogwood, Sassafras, and Cork tree, all part of the largest continuous oak forest in Queens.
At 538 acres, there's hardly an activity you can't do here. The sports complex has a running track, handball court and baseball fields. There is also an 18-hole golf course and nature trails.
Nice little hidden gem in the Kew gardens area. Make sure to stay on the paths otherwise you stumble upon trash left behind by teenagers (condoms, beer cans, the works...)
While the carousel at Forest Park has been closed since 2008, plans are in the works for its reopening. The Muller Carousel, as it is sometimes known, has been around since 1973. Read more
