Small cash only place with very reasonable prices. $20 bottles of wine available and most dishes in $10s or $20s range. Great fresh pasta with a lot of nice seafood options.
This place is amazing, the food was fantasic! The service was great, very fast and abrupt, but it's Boston and they always have a line out the door, so they gotta get you in and out. But they ONLY t
Giacomo's is one of my favorite restaurants in the North End. The food is always delicious & reasonably priced. It, however, is a small restaurant, so you need to arrive early to procure a table.
Open only for dinner, Giacomo's provides the best Italian meals in the North End. Get there early, as lines can be long for this local fan favorite restaurant.
The fusilli and gnocchi specials were delicious. Couple that with the fast service and rustic Italian ambiance that is provided within Boston’s Little Italy made the hour wait in the rain worthwhile.
Had the Butternutt squashravioli in prosciuttomascarpone cheesecream sauce, probably the best and most delicious italian plate i have ever tasted to date. Highly recommmend it!!
Great and affordable place for Italian food in the North End of Boston. The place is famous for fried calamari and butternut squash ravioli! Service is too good.Love this place. Read more
Brought friends here, they were hungry and pissed off at me for making them stand in line for 1 hr, then mindblown by the delicious food. Small price tag. Entree depending on the mood, fried calamari.
Love this place! Great Italian - BUT be careful bringing folks here who don't like seafood (*gasp*) as there's a lot of it on the menu. Be prepared to wait in line outside on some nights.
Order the Shrimp, Scallops, Broccoli with the garlic sauce. Best Pasta I have ever had! But try get a table as far from the kitchen at possible, it is hot in their!!
The very best Italian food since we got off the boat in 2006! Such a great atmosphere, but cash only. Worth the walk across the street for the $3 ATM FEE.
Definitely suggest arriving early to wait in line if possible. The restaurant seats around 30 people. Ordered the linguine with scallops and shrimps with scampi sauce. I personally like it.
Anything served with linguini and Giacomo sauce does the trick. But the homemade fusilli was too doughy and gnocchi-like for my taste. Not sure if worth the long wait.
#7 - IWalked Boston's Top 10 Italian Restaurants. Keep CCs at home for as website declares "We like dead presidents." Popular venue that doesn't accept reservations (expect approx 30min wait).<LINK> Read more
It’s about an hour wait on the sidewalk. No need to check in to get in the list. It’s cheap; it’s fast. We had 2 appetizers and two entrees. All were average. No substitutions.
some snub Giacomo's as an over-hyped tourist draw (w/ a stupid Rachel Ray recommends sign in window) but I love that there is ALWAYS a line & I LOVE the homemade fusilli w/ lobster | Fra Diavolo sauce Read more
The service IS rushed but the food quality is nothing short of amazing. Didn't have to wait too long to get in, either. I highly recommend the Butternut Squash Ravioli!
