Best Japanese curry, period. We cook lots of Japanese curry at home using the S&B curry mix packs but this is on a whole new level. Get the Grand Slam to share or solo if you can stomach it!

Can't go wrong with the pork katsu curry. Tender on the inside. Crispy fried panko breadcrumbs on the outside. Good curry to rice ratio with shredded cabbage on the side. Splash on some hot sauce!

One of my favorite places for Japanese curry. I always get the pork Grand slam with rakkyo. This time I tried natto and it was very interesting. Each are $1.95 additions

In addition to regular one topping curry, they have a set menu called homerun, grand slam, and world champion. Let your appetite decide which size you want - it is the best value for what you pay

Hungry? Get the "Grand Slam" - chicken katsu, pork katsu, sausage, shrimp, and egg slathered with Japanese curry on top of a bed of rice

We had the pork cutlet homerun with extra cheese! Really good choice if you want to have a taste of the tempura and the sausage as it comes with one of each and they are all yum! 👌🏼

Good for a quick meal Japanese comfort food. We usually get the grand slam and the portion is huge and cheap and very good. This is great for lunch and dinner on the go.

Home run curry is amazing for only 9.50$: katsu(get the pork), melt-in-your-mouth shrimp tempura, sausage, veg, curry, rice, and a hard-boiled egg(which was kinda old and cold).

One of my favorite cheap eats in New York City, decor has a weird mix between traditional Japanese art and baseball. Order a Grand Slam Curry and split it, really great food and unlike anything else.

Awesome pork katsu curry. Add hot sauce and pickled shallots and, if you're hungry, an extra pork cutlet for free on the 5th, 15th and 25th of the month. Go means 5 in Japanese... Get it?!

A great and inexpensive katsu curry close to Penn Station. Interior is a bit pokey but it does the job!

If this quick-serve counter feels like a trip to Asia, know that it’s by design. There are over 50 locations throughout Japan and Singapore, and more stateside locations in the works this year.

Try the katsu curry ($7.50). "Flavored with pureed apples, ketchup, curry powder and garam masala, the brown gravy is sweet and mild & is popularly topped with tonkatsu, a breaded, fried pork cutlet." Read more

This place is amazing. Skip breakfast and order up a "home run" or "grand slam". For the uninitiated, Japanese curry is not like regular curry at all, it's crack sauce over meat + rice. Oh wait...

The different sizes are based on the amount of rice you get, not meat. I would eat a human covered in this curry sauce.

"Go" means "5" Japanese. When walking you can see the yellow sign with "55" on it from far away. I shared the grandslam but had a hard time telling the pork & chicken apart! Chicken is slightly whiter
