Good Chinese food in authentic atmosphere with cheap Tsingtao. I recommend the Beijing Duck.

Ambiance: poor. Service: okay. Food: absolutely delicious. Try the soup dumplings (soup-er juicy 😄), crispy shredded beef, and the scallion pancake. CASH ONLY!

Why get in line @Joe'sShanghai or @NomWah when you've got Joe's Ginger around the corner? Seriously delicious soup dumplings &scallion pancakes, it won't hurt to be adventurous and try something new!

So much better than Joe's Shanghai! I prefer the straight-up pork dumplings to the pork & crab. Try one of their fried rice dishes, you won't regret it.

Soup dumplings. Peking duck is also good - comes with pancakes, hoisin, scallions and cucumbers - but not enough to cost $21. Either way - if there's a wait at joe's shanghai.... Just come here!

Same owner of joe’s shanghai, same food : soup dumplings obviously. They have the beef version here tho compare to the other location. It’s usually less crowded here

SOUP DUMPLINGS! But beware, don't bite into it too quickly or you'll burn your mouth. Scallion pancakes are really good as well.

Joe's Shanghai & Joe's Ginger are on same block, serve same soup dumplings. Don't wait two hrs outside former, when u can walk in and be seated at the latter.

Go here instead of Jo's Shanghai. Same menu/chefs. Same awesome legendary dumplings. Wonderfully civilized atmosphere and friendly service unlike its tourist trap neighbor.

The best soup dumplings! Get the pork dumpling and order the green onion pancake (warning: the pancake is greasy).

The soup dumplings are supposed to be from the same kitchen but there is a marked difference. Generally speaking it's minor but for people who've been going there forever it's very very apparent.

Vegetarian dumplings not good, scallion pancakes too crispy for my liking and vegetable bun was good but vegetables in it could’ve been more flavorful. Not for vegetarians given options in the area

As many have said...same owners/cooks as joe shanghai (tourist trap). Get the CRAB soup dumplings. I'm an eyewitness to the staff cracking open real crab for their dumplings!

Try shanghai thick noodle stirfry, YES! (Recommended a guy grew up from shanghai). Be aware of the only lady staff at the cash counter tho, very impatient!

Short-tempered waiters and good food. No frills but fun. Shorter queues than Joe Shanghai just a few doors down.
