lives up to its expectations. their banchan is great! includes sweet potato, kimchi pancake, radish, and 2 salad types - the bean sprout one is amazing. i loved the beef combo. drinks are expensive
My steady kbbq joint every LA visit. Amazing quality meat and incredible dipping sauce and salads. Egg moat is tricky to cook but so worth it (ask your servers for help if you need it).
My favorite when in Koreatown. Good quality of meats, soft enough that it feels like it starts to melt in your mouth. It gets packed pretty quick so come early or be prepared to wait for sometime.
Here, you'll pass between life-sized cardboard cutouts of Mr. Kang himself, sit around a tabletop grill under a wrestling poster and eat ungodly amounts of barbecued pork neck, bulgogi and pork belly. Read more
This barbecue newcomer does a few things really well-high-quality cuts of beef and pork in a rather dingy and smokey room that somehow feels just right, like a place you'd see in Hongdae. Read more
Best Korean BBQ - 2012! Cuts of rib-eye are beautifully marbled, the pork belly sliced just so, & dosirak, shaken tableside with a fried egg, is a most entertaining side dish! -Garrett Snyder Read more
One of the most popular Korean BBQ places in LA. The staff is charmingly serious about making sure your meat is cooked to perfection. There's a long wait, so be sure to time this strategically.
The best quality meats, the best marinades, only the most essential banchan, and an ambiance lifted straight out of a street-side spot in Seoul. [Eater 38 Member] Read more
The beef combo is excellent. Enough for four five people. Corkage is $25 per bottle. Noisy with a large crowd. No waiting on our Monday night visit. They don’t do reservations.
Beef combo. Love the accompaniments: mung bean & scallion salad, cheesy corn, fried egg, raw tofu. Lunchbox rice. Very long wait so put name on list & drink nearby.
The most unique part about this restaurant is their special custom interchangeable grills. The inner charcoal grill adds a smoky flavor to the meat. The outer section cooks, kimchi, veggies, etc. Read more
First time here and the food is excellent. Service was awesome, very attentive. Talked us through the meal. Quality of the meats are better than other places I've been.
The pork neck is amazing! Pork is their specialty. Take advantage of it. Hands down the best pork bbq and pork selection. Valet parking is behind the Chapman Plaza area. Expect to wait.
Super popular, long waiting line. Light side dishes are good compliments to the BBQ. Small beef combo and two lunch boxes were enough for four people. Good service!
The meat selection doesn't veer into the exotic there are no offal cuts, and no seafood and your choices generally come down to the question of whether you favor swine or bovine. Read more
While the Korean food is amazing, the music is so loud your ears will bleed, so don't expect any conversation. Do expect to smell like meat smoke afterward.
They say waiting is 2 hour but it actually 1 hour plus only a few mins as ppl put their name in the list and don't show up. Don't make a compromise and go to The Gogi. This place is worth the wait.
Super delicious food but the wait staff leaves something to be desired. Very attentive to other patrons but if you don't look Korean or with someone Korean - they'll mostly forget about you.
