Get a fast pass as early as you can, you'll avoid the heat and get to see all the animals, hopefully. This safari is extremely magnificent and the ride itself will always surprise you❤️
Amazing! Unexpectedly great! The vehicle drives on a road, not a track, so it doesn’t feel like a theme park ride. Really nice to see the animals have more freedom to roam.
If you're visiting the Animal Kingdom make this your first stop. If you arrive early in the morning you won't have long to wait, but if you arrive in the afternoon, be sure to get a fast pass.
The secret is going first thing in the morning when the park opens. you will see all the animals and it won't be too hot. Also the animals seem to have a good amount of space to roam, which is good.
One of the best attractions at WDW. If you have time, definitely ride more than once because different animals are active at different times. No two safari rides are the same!
If your camera has a strap use it! The ride is very bouncy in and you can easily drop it. They do say to let them know if you do and they can retrieve it though, but don't be that guy or gal!
This ride is awesome, they don't pack you in, and you get to see Lions, Giraffes, Rhinos and Elephants about as close up as you're gonna get apart from a real African Safari!
I used to work here so I am a little partial, but I love safaris! Make sure and sit near the side of the truck for the best view and stay ahead of the driver by spotting the animals first.
This ride is AMAZING! If you can do it at least twice at different points in your day, you won't regret it because you'll have a different experience each time
Got on around 10am and ALL the animals were out and either eating or sunning. We've been on this several times over the years - this has been THE best time so far.
We got to see the new baby rhino however the mom and the other adult rhinos were not happy that our jeep was so close. We had to wait until they moved out of the road. Just a little intense.
Best views were on the right for our ride, but no two safari trips are the same. Try getting the back seat! Bumpiest ride but you'll get some last-second photos if they drive too fast!!
Jambo! and welcome to the Harambe WildlifeReserve! Get ready for your week-long journey through Africa on an amazing safari! Have your camera out for photos, and listen to radio alerts for Simba One!
Did you know that you can see the lions almost anytime of the year on the safari. They have their own air-conditioning/heating unit, so guests get a great view of the lions when it is cold or hot! Read more
I hit this first thing in the AM when the animals are most-active. I usually get a FastPass right at opening then ride standby anyway, the use my FP to ride again almost immediately.
Every trip is different and you never know where the animals will be. There are 2 roads through the safari and an equal number of animal pens on both sides. Sit in middle for the best photos
Definitely one of the highlights of the Animal Kingdom! Make sure you get on an early morning safari or a late afternoon tour. The majority of the animals are active when it's not as hot. Great ride!
The previous 'little red and the poachers' story line repaced with a much more direct 'save the planet' monologue which is nowhere near as involving nor so much fun to experience.
Get here early as the animals will be moving around but the line gets pretty long so fast pass it and take the exploration trail and see the baby gorilla (born 5 months ago as of 8/7/10).
Note: Fast Pass is no longer fast here. Be prepared to spend a good amount of time waiting in line even if you've got a fast pass. Line snakes down past the marketplace.
