Come here for the experience and not just the food. You'll share a table with some locals, & have to get up to grab your food from the trolleys. My favourite is the pork rice roll served in a basket!
This is not a place you should be shy at! Locals say the 猪润烧卖 (pig liver siew mai) and 烧腩卷 (roasted meat and yam in bun) here are rarely found at other places now. 马来糕 (steamed cake) is nice!
One of the oldest tea houses in Hong Kong and each day they still serve an endless flow of diners. We enjoyed the tea poured old style and did battle for the freshest of the dim sum off the trolley.
Dimsum here is so good. Pushcarts with popular items get emptied even before it reaches your table so those good dishes go out of stock fairly quickly. Try their lotus leaf rice. Good experience.
Nice local restaurant in HK.Mainly populated by locals.Dim Sum (dumplings) is the speciality. If you come with a local or sit at a table with locals who speak English and could help you is better.
Don't miss dim sum for breakfast or lunch! They're not the best ones I've tasted but it's a great experience, real Hong Kong! If it's dinner time, you can order the house special duck
Old school dim sum. Find your own seat (join any tables with free seats, others will join your table). Be assertive and get your sheet to the cart ladies if you want something, fierce competition.
Authentic taste of dim sum! Full of elderly that makes me feel like I'm watching HK dramas 😂 love the 蛋散 and the environment 😍 bird cages brings extra retro feelings!
Ultimate old school dim sum experience. Find your own seats and fight for the freshest dim sum when the trolley first pushed out. Lin Yung Bao (loutus seed bun) is as authentic as it gets.
I ate various dim sums in 10/3 2009. Taste is delicious and price is reasonable . This restaurant opens from morning. I really love this restaurant ! See the link for one of photos ! Read more
Best old school dim sum.Famous duck leg soup rice is gone quick, usually around 11am, so ask for it asa you sit down. Lk4 cards with lots of stamps to see whos' almost done and wait 4their seats.
Interesting experience at this dim sum tea house - to get your hands on the dim sum, you got to walk to the pushcart and battle for it with the other patrons. The survival of the fittest 😄
Very local place, old style everything including waiting for a table, pick stand over a table and wait! Food is good, dim sum made the old fashion way but hurry... they are closing down for good soon
For a local experience of Hong Kong yum cha, you have to try this place. Be prepared to find your own seat and share tables with friendly locals and tourists!
One of my favourite Chinese restaurants. Yummy food, cozy environment — beautiful oriental calligraphy hang on the wall, and with funny, charisma grey hair waiters :-)
Open at 6am. Come early around 8am for a seat, take ur time and enjoy the dimsum and tea. Nobody will rush u off here. won't be able to find a seat easily if u come late.
Each person has a a specific job here. Sometimes the dim sum masters come out for a breather. DON'T ask them to pour you more water. It's demeaning and they will give you shiieet.
If u wanna have fresh food just out of the kitchen, then go fighting, and take care. A special experience, visit this old-fashioned dim sum restaurant!
Crowded (one table seated with 3 different groups of ppl)。NOISY and the best part is one have to chase the dimsum push cart to get the dimsum u want, if not, semua kena sapu habis dgn sekelip mata.
A tradition HK old style tea house which has been famous for decades. The food they sell is ok, I suppose people come for the nostalgia feel instead of the food.
You need to be issued a order card before you can start ordering. Find a seat and beakon to the waiter to serve tea and issue the order card. They will naturely come to you once you are seated !
After come a few times, I realised there is no service charge to the servers. It will be good to tip them privately when they come serve you. It’s just a gesture of appreciation.
Don't look like a tourist. Just try your best to find a seat without looking lost. More like a dimsum speakeasy! Fun experience to fight for fresh dimsum right out the kitchen.
If you want to get food, get up as soon as you see the trolleys of food come out of the kitchen. The good stuff gets taken before the trolley an make it 2 meters.
I'm glad I experienced it but I didnt like it! The dimsum were soso and the place was too messy for me 😂 Someone hit me when choosing my dimsum! I pay for my food so I don't want to fight for it also
