Some of the best food you'll find in Yangon! It's packed with tourists and it's a bit more expensive (about 15$ with drinks and dessert) but you won't regret it! Free wifi though painstakingly slow :)
Excellent starters of Burmese Ginn Thoke (marinated ginger, peanuts, dried shrimp & garlic) and Vietnamese ban ceo (ricepancake with pork, shrimp and fresh herbs) With mSin course and drinks £15.
Located in a colonial building, this restaurant is a good place for two with dim candle light. salad around 2500Kyats, chicken curry 5,800Kyats and Tom Yang Gong soup 3,200Kyats.
Prefect restaurant in Yangon! It's gives a wide menu of all the Asian countries. So try a Thais curry or some typical Myanmar's, Vietnamese or Laos food.
Huge menu selection.. Fastest wifi (free) with option to make any dish as vegetarian, however unwontedly on the higher side, bland food are major let down..
Absolutely mediocre, especially for vegetarian dishes. My friend got a fish dish and wasn't thrilled either. Our bill was 30k, wish we'd gone wild in China Town instead. Saving grace: ok atmosphere.
Nice colonial atmosphere. Food is ok. Drinks mediocre. But good place to meet up for a basic beer. It's the last lights and noise before the run down stretch of the road hits Strand Rd.
Overrated! This place has a huge menu spanning from Thai to Vietnamese. I ordered a tuna salad it was quite of a let down, I prefer original spots in town.
Try the lemongrass martini for a twist on the classic - it tastes absolutely deliciously without being too sugary-sweet the way a lot of cocktails tend to be.
