Morandi is a spaciousrestaurant, particularly in the summer months - an excellent al fresco situation. good food, not quite up to par with some of the West Village heavyweights
Kieth McNally’s Italian trattoria serves one of the best breakfasts in the West Village. Egg options include a vegetablefrittata, poached eggs with artichokes, and steak with eggs. Read more
The baked eggs in a skillet for brunch are amazing especially on a nice day and a table outside! For pasta the lemon pasta is so simple but incredibly delicious. Great for sharing!
All the reviews about the Cacio e Pepe are spot on! The Endive Salad and Bolognese were amazing! The server gave us personalized attention and although he recommended a couple of wines to pair.
Prosciutto and arugulafocaccia and fritto misto. Not healthy at all, but really good apps to share with a friend over some Italian wine. Get the lobster pasta special on Fridays.
It's a trendy and lively spot. Food is good but tough to get anything special ordered (I wanted calamari in red sauce but they only would serve it on the side). Great Manhattan's! I recommend it.
Our waiter recommended a pasta dish which was cooked to perfection. The sauces blended really well. And def get the meatballs. They melt in your mouth. Tiramisu - yum yum
Great pastas and atmosphere. Perfect for groups and has outdoor seating. Try the squid ink spaghetti with mixed seafood and the cavatelli with lamb and snow peas!
Everything in this charming West Villagerestaurant is delicious! The meatballs are close to perfect. Even the olive oil is incredible. A great place to enjoy some great food and wine with friends.
Great outdoor seating / location. Try the cavatellipasta in the prosciuttocream sauce. We had an issue where our cards were double charged but otherwise good experience.
Sit outside on a lovely afternoon and start out with blood orangemartinis. Work your way towards lambrusco and close it out with their meatballs. Go home and pass out with a smile on your face.
They will give you spaghetti with the meatball entree and love them for it. Great scene and yummy food. Must have the torta di ricottadesert above all others - yes I tried them all don't be a hater
Roasted Brussels sprouts. Grilled sea basswell done. (And the focaccia with ricotta cheese if you're feeling it...yummy) third dinner visit- must try it during brunch!
Reliable Italian in west village. The restaurant is big, so you have a higher chance of getting in without a reservation. The food and service was good.
NY. Yet another Keith McNally hot-spot, we love the pastas and lively environment at Morandi. Must try: the burrata e pachini and Pici Al Limonespaghetti.
We had reservations, but the hostess didn't care and made us wait an hour before getting an acceptable table... food though was above average + waiter brought us complimentary wine for the long wait
