Picasso museum must be one of the reasons for art lovers to visit Barcelona! It's the home of early works of Picasso and great place to discover his different approaches to the art.Free for students:)
If you're looking for the artwork that you know of as PICASSO, this isn't the museum for you. This has a large collection of his art before his fame and a handful from Blue Period. Good 2 hour visit.
You won't find the most famous Picasso paintings here but the museum is very nice. It has paintings from all his years that help the guest follow the changes in his style and see his work as a whole.
Great to visit. Gets very busy in the Summer. Tucked away in the neighborhood but once inside they have an extensive array of Picasso art and can see his progression of changes in style.
The queue is horrible so buy prior tickets! But oh my god once you're inside, it's all worth it❤️❤️ surrounded by Picasso's magnificence it's just overwhelming❤️
The art was amazing but the collection was missing some of the big works of Picasso and it was difficult to navigate around. Still a place you have to visit when in Barcelona. Very cool museum shop.
Don't expect to come here and see Picasso's iconic work and style. A lot is focused on his very early works, and some late (before his death) pieces. I suggest coming early to avoid long entry line
If you are near to Museo Picasso, you are in the Born quarter. After visiting the museum, you can relax in one of the many terraces and enjoy good tapas.
If you want information about Picasso his life his artistic development and his work you are on the right place. A very wellstructuredexhibition - only the pink period of Picasso is missing
Whether a die-hard art connoisseur, or simply a painter seeking inspiration, everyone will find something stirring here! Don't miss the Picasso museum, host to more than 4,000 pieces by this genius! Read more
You can't take photos nor use your mobile phone. I felt there were large gaps missing from the timeline. Many interpretations of (parts of) Diego Velázquez' Las Meninas. I prefer Paris' Musée Picasso.
Amazing building which in itself is worth seeing. Great exhibit of his early work. Worth seeing!!! its related to the time which Picasso spent in Barcelona.
At least on the first Sunday of each month when entrance is free (!), prepare yourself for a long queue. It can take 40-90 minutes to get in, so manage your time. Workday is over @19:50. It's worthy!
I've never been a huge Picasso fan, but this museum shows there's so much more than what you think of as Picasso. The evolution work from his teens is incredible
This is where you'll find a wide selection of works of Spanish artist Pablo Picasso. The permanent collection includes Man in a Beret and Mountain Landscape. Open Tuesdays-Sundays, 10am-8pm.
Amazing museum! Reserve at least 2 hours to check all the rooms. Audioguide loaded with cool info. Loved it! You can leave your backpack at the locker room for one euro.
It's well set out and there is a fair amount of his work. If you're after any of his more famous works, you won't them here. 1st Sunday of the month you get in free.
Kind of a must-see when in Spain but I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't much work from the 20s-40s, his surrealism glory days. Still lots of great early Picasso. Go early, it gets busy.
The collection includes a lot of studies and sketches Pablo used to prepare for his works, and seeing the progression from idea to finished product is fascinating.
Avoid the long queues by buying an Articket BCN pass from the Tourist Office in Plaça de Catalunya. You'll need to redeem the voucher they give you at a museum, the closest being CCCB.
sunday after 15pm free.buy online. It doesn't give you anything about cubism or the art of Picasso. there are gaps between works. If you are interested in Picasso, go see.dont go because it is famous.
Don't forget to bring your child/children ,because there is a special ticket office for people with children ...and the best part of it you will skip a huge line !
Look out for the displays outside that show the number of tickets available along the queues. There's a limited number of entries (unless you have the Articket BCN pass).
