Think this place on mid Manhattan is really popular. I went there on lunch hour and ordered Grilled Skirt steak sandwich. It tastes so good! The staff were very friendly and service was really quick.
Beautiful and simple five spice Pork Belly #sandwich with pickle Asian pear, magic is on the crusty skin of the #porkbelly #delicious @numpangnyc #nyc #foodiespr #food #foodporn #nyceats
PORK BELLY: amazing spin on vietnamese banh mi. bread toasted to perfection with papadam-like toast on the outside. would taste even better if the stems of cilantro were taken out.
Steak bowl definitely beats the weak bun mi. In nyc this might qualify as good but virtually any Vietnamese sandwich from any place in any little Saigon is significantly better. Demand more nyc
Likely the best sandwich shop in NYC. Try the Five-Spice Glazed Pork Belly, Pulled Duroc Pork, or Grilled Khmer Sausage, in that order. Use Grubhub & place an advance order to avoid the lunch lines.
This Sumatra cold brew Cambodian iced coffee is sweetened with coconut milk, condensed milk and tamarind juice. (Tip: Dunk a Num Pang salted-ginger-and-peanut-butter cookie in it.) Read more
Tiger prawn sandwich, don't forget to grab the spicy sauce (doesn't taste too hot but adds amazing flavor). Whenever in a hurry this is the right place. Small seating area but very fulfilling portion.
First time here. Had the 5 spice glazed pork belly sandwich with pickled veggies and a blood orange lemonade. All was very tasty! Definitely am adding this place into my lunch rotation.
This sandwich place is ridiculously delicious! I've been going here for the last week for lunch. The steak sandwich is to die for: it's savory and extremely chewy. It's about $9.50/sandwich.
The grilled steak salad is quite good. Nice amount of steak, fresh vegetables and nice seasonings and dressing. A healthy alternative to the sandwich that satisfies completely.
A god send. I was nervous the first time, crazy combinations. But trust me, whatever it is that they're doing, they KNOW what they're doing, and they're incredible. Pork belly all the way!
I know the pulled pork is the real crowd pleaser, but the roasted cauliflower was the best sandwich I've had in years. It's full of so many delicious veggies and sauces.
For my first visit, I followed the tips and went with the Five-Spice Glazed Pork Belly. AMAZING! This place takes down the Midtown douchiness a notch (only a notch bc Public House is still next door).
Don't be put off by the long queue: these guys process customers FAST, and the classic catfish sandwiches are incredible. Going back for the pulled pork, and think I may plan a vacation in Cambodia!
Unbelievable!! Pork Belly Sandwich to die for. It totally melts in your mouth as flavor after flavor cascades over your tastebuds!!! The grilled corn is also a must!
If the grilled peach and bacon sandwich is on the menu, don't think twice. Thick slabs of grilled peach, bacon, jalapeños, shredded carrots, scallions, and a little spicy mayo, on a baguette. Mmmm.
Glazed pork belly is the bomb ! Classic catfish, hoisin meatball and chicken chimi are all great, not fancying the steak, flavored and texture are good but smthn amiss. Salt ?
It pays to experiment! Tried a "Seasonal" sandwich that normally wouldn't have appealed to me: "Peach & Bacon". Trust me, despite how it sounds, this was surprisingly tasty combination.
Nam Pang serves up very nice sized sandwiches are packed with flavor! Coconut shrimp sandwich is our top choice with the pulled pork coming in at a close second. N-Sider tip: Cash ONLY!
I had the coconut tiger shrimp, although it was only like 4 pieces of shrimp. With the bread and other stuff it was filling.will come back to try other stuff. Although majority of stuff is meat/pork :(
Go with the specials; they don't last long, and you'll have plenty of time to try the static menu. I had a grilled peach and bacon sandwich last time I went, and it was beyond excellent.
There's often a long line, but it moves surprisingly fast. Everything on the menu is worth a try, and be sure to slather it with sriracha for maximum tastiness.
These sandwiches are so good, it's worth a trip AT LEAST once a week. Small in size but very filling. Favorites are the pork belly and the spanish mackerel.
Sammies used to be perfectly prepped but standards must be slipping...my Roasted Cauliflower was almost raw & eggplant spread was non-existent compared to rest of ingredients. Just not that good now.
Try the ABC Pang sandwich, a collaboration between the chefs of ABC kitchen and Num Pang. The sandwich benefits the Edible Schoolyard Project and the Double H Ranch: Read more
Sandwiches are soo good. They're that odd size where they leave you wanting just a bit more. No real seating at this location which is a bummer bc they can be a bit messy and don't travel well.
