Fisherman's wharf! Come here for many of the greatest restaurant selection! Almost every restaurant serves samples of their chowder outside their door!

Get the clam chowder from Old Fisherman's Grotto and coffee from Water+Leaves (They have a small outdoor patio where you can sit and look at this view)!

Free clam chowder samples all the way down the wharf! It also has quite a few tourist shops, whale watching, seafood restaurants, and a man with parrots near the end of the wharf.

Clam chowder best on the wharf, possibly in Monterey all together! Bread pudding desert also an absolute MUST TRY. Great service, staff, and decor/Sanatra music!

We enjoyed dinner at Domenico’s On the Wharf. The Seafood was fresh and so tasty! I love Monterey. It reminds me of my Pop when he was stationed here in the Navy, back in the day

This wharf is adorable. Lined with great restaurants and stunning views, there's nothing to not love about it. Everyone is super friendly and the wharf is very clean.

Locals call this Wharf #1. Start exploring Monterey CA here! Historic shops: Taffy, whale watching, seafood (each with "the best clam chowder" sampled on your walk), dancing monkey and sea lion song.

This is a must try if your in Monterey. The pineapple drink is strong but good asked for extra pineapple juice and its drinkable.

Pretty much a tourist attraction, but a nice one at that -if you like history there are some really nice historic buildings just before the wharf -you could make a meal out of all the free samples

Going during the week was great . Not crowded at all! Had samples of chowder thought they were all pretty good. Very nice place if your looking for something to do

Whale watching tours leave from the end of the wharf, but you have to run the gauntlet of chowder sellers and touristy shacks to get there! Well worth it, watch out for the pelicans and sea lions!

Everything is really touristy here, but it is cool to hear the sea lions barking and watch them swim around.

The fisherman's platter is good variety of different type of seafoods. The service was great couldn't ask for better right on the water.

Fun for a walk, and to see the sea lions. Sometimes you will get lucky and they will be VERY close, sunning themselves on the lower docks.

If you go all the way to the end, there's an abalone distributor.

Old wharf has seals n otters n jelly fish to see. Fresh fish is available. The new wharf is further south and has shops n restaurants. Enjoy the chowder and toursty atmosphere there.

The only restaurant I go to is cafe fina and Domenicos I hardly go down to the wharf it’s not the wharf I remember. I know things change. So I stopped gong on the wharf 20years ago l.

Benihana has a great happy hr - rolls, soup and tempura plus drinks between $1.50 to $5 DAILY 5-6:30

The best area in city to walk, dine & most attractive area.

Half stuffed lobster was a treat to try if you order it go hungry its a lot of food.

It was a nice place to stroll, checking out shops & restaurants.

Loved the scenery. Lot's to do, see and eat nearby.

I don't reccomend the spaghetti and meatballs the pasta was very chewy like rubber.

This place is not What it used to be re food quality. B4, the clam chowder was really smtg to die for, now the places are Just in a battle 2get customers in with their huge tasteless chowder caldron.

Similar to one in Sf but not as tourists heavy with local owned businesses
