LOVE this place! Our favorite US burger joint, & well worth the wait! We sit at the bar & order a (huge!) cheeseburger, loaded baked potato and a big & boozy Monsoon. Best hole-in-the-wall in NOLA!!
Get the Burger and everything on the potatoes butter, sour cream, bacon bits, green onions topped with smothered mushrooms. My wife ordered the steak her first time... it's her regular order now.
This Marigny/Bywater spot makes burgers so juicy and big you'll want to come with an empty stomach. This lunch & dinner spot usually has a line, but grab a Monsoon cocktail at the bar while you wait.
You get only four choices for the half-pound sandwich: with or without cheese, and with or without mushrooms. In lieu of fries, your accompaniment is a big baked potato. Read more
We used to roll outta there SO full on Port-of-Call Burger, Baked Pot, & Salad. The Ladie's Room has a billion stickers & signatures on every bit of the walls - go Sign In! *great lil place
Widely considered among the best burgers in New Orleans. Nestled between the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street, Port of Call can have guests waiting an hour to eat, but it's always worth the time.
Don't worry about the wait to get in have yourself a monsoon and enjoy the scenery outside. Believe me the food is worth it the burgers great and the service is amazing
what a strange anomaly no bacon or blue cheese and no French fry or onion rings but a baked potato how very bizarre but it works so very well which is why I love this place
I'll admit that the burger was good, and certainly a lot of meat for the money. But come on guys, you've hyped this too much. The burgers at Yo Mama's in French Quarter are waay more juicy and tasty.
Best burger in town but you can't beat the price of a solid rib eye. Eat either. Leave happy. Expect a wait. Keep an eye in the bar. Great place to eat.
burger is very good size and they are well seasoned... potato is a nice twist and there is no other starch option. I recommend ordering the cheese burger with mushrooms and the potato with cheese....
I call 'em how I see 'em: Ridiculous wait for what is arguably the best burger in New Orleans. Damn it's good! But is it worth the wait? Close call. Probably, yes.
Try the Neptune's Monsoon - The original $10 drink that doesn't take 10 minutes to make. 1/3 through and I'm feeling it. Going to make me want the burger even more
"The burgers here are fantastic. I like to get my cheeseburger with a side of cheeseburger. (It's less embarrassing than ordering two cheeseburgers outright)." - Conan O'Brien
Wait outside with your drink of choice, mine = Windjammer, when you finally get a table, order a burger with everything and a baked potato with everything. Then nap.
