Due to the drought,there are trees that are unbeknownst to park goers,dead. Often large branches fall off the trees. Please beware. I’ve seen this happen and others have been injured.
Golden Gate Park is one of my favorites to get lost in for the afternoon. You can picnic with friends, go to the De Young Museum, or the Japanese TeaGarden. The options are endless!
Running on the pedestrian only side is great. I have a dog, and the last thing I want to do is injure a biker or my dog while running on the main drag!

Volunteer cleanup crew comes through on occasion. If you se them, stick around. One dude is incredibly talented on the courts. I counted 13 backflips in a row once!
If you're walking/running/jogging, use the south pathway (near Oak Street). The north pathway is a major E/W bicycle route, and it's a little more tense for cyclists and pedestrians to share.
