Cozy little spot crammed with tables. Excellent steak, crushed potatoes and blue crab chowder. Found the nettle risotto to be a bit soupy but it was otherwise yummy.
Everything. So impressed. The Duck Rillette, the shrimp, the risotto (that was the highlight) and the five spiced chicken!!! Delicious and beautifully presented. The tunes were also fabulous!!!
Cute cozy restaurant with great food! Fresh ingredients for their seasonal menus, unique take on traditional dishes. Worth the trek over to Ave C. Risotto was delicious, cocktails a must (obvs)!
Food was solid and service was outstanding. Loved the lamb tartare. Everything we ordered was delicious. A nice dinner addition to the EV, great for dates or small groups.
AMAZING. You must go here when you want to splurge on delicious food. The best risotto I've ever had and the burger is exquisite. Great service and atmosphere. Highly recommend it!
Try the little gem salad! Has delicious crispy quinoa. Brown sugar bacon, corn beef hash & brioche french toast all amazing as well! You won't be disappointed with their brunch (Saturdays only)
BurgerWeekly 2015 #7 NYC Burger: Virginia’s Burger: This sucker is nuts with flavor. The succulent short rib/hanger steak blend patty; savory Vidalia onion marmalade; cabot cheddar; and the sturdy bun
The Butternut Squash Risotto is a warm entree packed with Vitamin K (great for strong bones!)— as well as porcini mushrooms, pecans and tarragon. Read more
Virginia’s is definitely the most upscale restaurant on the block. The chefs worked at Per Se and a bunch of high end Chicago restaurants, so the cooking is the real deal, but still pretty relaxed.
The roasted romanesco appetizer, duck breast and hanger steak were all excellent. Try to score a seat by the window and you will enjoy one of the most pleasant dining experiences in the east village
Sleeper on Ave C that should be mentioned right up there with tuome and Eddy. Great cocktails to take advantage of their new liquor license. Knock outs: lamb tartare, duck, chicken cavatelli
Hanger steak and veggies were great, but the restaurant is still getting things together. Grilled shrimp app was just 4 tiny basic shrimp and stripped bass was way too herby.
Good was fine, on the more expensive side for the neighborhood. Service was disappointing. They wanted the steak would take 20 min. Well over 30 with no ETA update.
