If you need a break from your road trip check out the World's Largest Ball of Twine. If you're lucky you'll get to see embarrassed teenagers reluctantly posing for photographs with their families.

Great little stop for photo opp. Canker City is west of Wakonda Lake, Glen Elder. Beautiful third largest lake in Kansas. Beloit is a little further east. Great part of northern Kansas! Check it out!

Each year a twine-a-thon is held in conjunction with the annual Cawker City picnic and parade, so the ball never stops growing.
