YVR is truly a world class facility. One of my favourites. Domestic departure section has some great sandwich shops. International departures has ample places to sit and charge devices. Streamlined!Upvoted 1 day ago

Best airport in North America. Beautiful, clean and efficient. The aboriginal art and water features contribute to a wonderful arrival experience.

M. R.May 7, 2014Vancouver International is Air Canada and Canada's gateway to the Pacific. Free WiFi, good shops and native Canadian art make it a good connecting hub. Unfortunately, peak times can mean long waits.

Roger MaJuly 1, 2016Canadian immigration officers love to harass and interrogate you randomly inside terminal if you're Asian. They assume everyone is mainland Chinese and carry loads of $$$ on hand. 😂😂😂
Has to be one of the best airports in the world. Make sure you have a Nexus pass to skip the line in departures!
Canada Line can be accessed by both domestic and international terminals. Domestic is in the annex (take the elevator/stairs on the extreme left of the baggage pickup, Intl. just walk straight out!

Quiet airport with awesome decoration based on nature motifs-including a live aquarium! Also lots of native American art. Beautiful. Food is OK. Lots of power points and free WiFi!
If you have spare time before a flight go have lunch, dinner or drinks in the lounge at the Fairmont Airport - the best airport restaurant in the country.
I love studying at the observation area located at the domestic terminal. It's open 24/7, free wifi, outlets available, a lot of food options, and you get to watch planes!

Great airport with Timmy's, free WiFi and charging stations at the gates. Take your kids to observation deck to learn about planes.
One of the best international airports I have ever used. Clean, comfortable, good food / shopping options. Nice west coast feel!

ArdenJanuary 30, 2014Must go thru immigration and customs if connecting to USA from an international flight. YVR is considered the first port of entry for USA even though it's Canada.. But at least you get a Canada stamp?

Spoon CarvalhoApril 4, 2017One of the better Airport I've flown through. Flying to the US was time consuming. A single line just to get to the TSA. Going though US customs was a joke, get their early if flying internationally.
Accept for customs, it's often times a pretty smooth and uneventful airport. Plenty of memorabilia options.
When in Vancouver, be sure to visit Fitness Town to learn about all the fun, fitness things you can do in one of the best cities in the world (just saying...)
Spacious airport, lounges are okay, friendly staff, well organized and it even features a little waterfall in the arrivals area 😃

If you are connecting from within a Canadian city to a us one, there is no nexus line. Give yourself lots of time. Also, if you don't have nexus, you should.
If you are overnighting in Vancouver and don't want to drag your luggage with you, there's an affordable luggage storage service available on the baggage carousel level.
Tim CyrAugust 6, 2013Of you're early and driving stop in at the Petro Canada station for a few minutes to save on parking the car. And you can grab water or a treat for guests as well.
Air Canada needs Gogo in their life. I'd pay for wifi over free old movies. International terminal is way cooler with First Nations art.
One of the best (if not the best) airport with native art. Have your camera out when leaving the plane
Always have hope! I embarrassingly left my iPad in a baggage cart last night AND the great folks at YVR (you know who you are!) turned my IPad into Lost and Found! Thank you Thank you Thank you!

Even though this airport is generally great, there is a shortage of toilets. During the morning rush there are line ups and the stalls tend to get dirty quick. Even the AC lounge only has 1 stall.
Love YVR!! It's clean, nicely decorated, and its got FREE WiFi! Wished there were more eatery options, especially after going through security.
The airport has free wifi and lots of charging stations for your electronics. It's electronic heaven!
