The streak frites is pretty great for a a Turkish place trying to do a French dish (yellow sauce, not Bernaise sauce btw). Ignore all the 4SQ tips about the Meat Pizza... not good.
Find the almost-hidden staircase near the northern (?) entrance, sneak upstairs to the restaurant and catch a peek (and pic!) of the markte from above via the dining room window. Be speedy!
If some guy outside tries to sell you tickets that allow you to cut line, it's cool & legit (we did it) and saved us like 20 min in line. Pro tip: once inside, do tje tour backward, starting w/ exit
Yes, this is where the tourist eat... but ask the guy for a meatball pita and you will no regret it. Make sure he puts "the sauce" on it.

Touristy, yes, but not a bad spot to stop for a break. The eggplant puree dish is all it's cracked up to be (order 2, thank me later). Don't miss the view of the Spice Market from dining room window
One of the best meals we had in Istanbul. Don't snooze on the meat platter sampler thing (and the Raki!) I hear the pork chop is off the chain too (but was sold out by the time we got there :(
This place looks a great idea but feels like an awful idea 4 shots / 8 hours later. Peek around the corner if you're looking for cool areas to explore.
Great spot to sit outside and chill. If you are on the terrace, look for the sprinkler that is partly obstructed by a concrete obstacle.. and then watch for people to get sucker-sprayed by it.
Best cocktails we found in Istanbul. The Lynchburg Lemonade is A++++. Rumor has it this is THE SPOT to come for dinner too... but we didn't have time to try it out.
