Most people will tell you to go for the Ukrainian stuff, which is a pretty great idea, but the corn beef hash was the best I've ever had.

Pricey, but it's open at all hours and the pirogies and matzoh ball soup won't break the bank. Makes the perfect post-bar 4 am meal.

I love the food here. Aside from perogies which are a specialty of the house I always order a matzoh ball soup and a grilled swiss with tomato on whole grain.

Not what they're most known for (get some pierogis or kielbasa!) but Veselka happens to have perhaps the best egg creams and milkshakes in the city.

I know Borscht is king at Veselka, but I personally am a big fan of their chili. It's pretty mild, but very flavorful. Also great Pierogies and Mac and Cheese. Definitely my go-to spot after 2am.

The corned beef hash will change your life. It's not the steaming pile of crap that you get at any deli. Veselka serves actual corned beef mixed with onions and peppers. It's eye opening, and tasty.

If you're super hungry, get the Meat or Vegetarian platter. It comes with stuffed cabbage and three pierogies. You'll also get soup and salad. And like someone below said, you MUST get the borscht.
