- Monica CNovember 12, 2014If you're staying in Honolulu you need to stay on one of the hotels on Kalakaua avenue. Get a balcony room for breathtaking views of the coast. You won't regret the splurge!
- Great Marriott to stay in when you're in Waikiki. It has more of a hotel feel that a resort feel, but great views if you have an ocean view room.
- Ghen Lumadilla - WelchDecember 22, 2012Happening place towards the end part of Kalakua Ave. Book an Ocean View room. $25 resort fee includes free daily Mai Tai,60 mins international phone calls and daily wi fi Internet access.Upvoted Aug 27
- Teré PattersonSeptember 14, 2015Don't buy drinks here! There are plenty of places within walking distance to get cheaper drinks. The d.k. Steakhouse is the business! Get the set menu. It's a great deal!
- Kuhio Beach Grill FTW!!! Super Ono buffets. Priced right and lip smackin' yum. Local favs from Portuguese sausage to miso soup for bfast & kalua pig, prime rib, crab legs for din! U won't regret it!
- Jim PenfoldMarch 7, 2018Pleasant staff, clean rooms, modern ameneties and only a block away from world famous Waikiki Beach.
- Jay 🐝October 7, 2010Amazing hotel. Service is top notch and the rooms are incredible. We had a spectacular beach view from the 16th floor with a sliver of mountain in the distance. Staff all over the resort were great!
- Antje BrewerApril 5, 2014$30 resort fee is optional. You get 60 min local phone calls, 1 Mai tai, fitness classes, wireless internet, and more (see pic).
- Choose “ocean front room” for best views. Can probably get a free upgrade if you choose “ocean view room” and have status. Kapoiolani tower has the views
- Always book what you want, but if you are lucky enough to book ocean view or get an upgrade ask for room 1523 - unless I'm in town because I will want it!
- Be sure to show your Bonvoy "card" when purchasing food in their restaraunts if you're paying cash. Gold status led to 25% discount.
- Decent and clean hotel. Platinum elites get daily free mai tais and full buffet breakfast. Oh and the resort fee is now $30 (up from $25)
- Best place to stay at Waikiki. On main strip, but a couple of blocks away from the excessive noise. AAA discounts are great here. The beds are super comfortable.
- Van HolmesDecember 31, 2015Beautiful ocean views. Ask for a room on the west side for wonderful sunset views.
- David WhittingtonMay 28, 2012The pool here is pretty nice. I'd you are staying nearby, feel free to join is by taking the stairs behind ABC Store to the third floor. Access is. It enforced.
- Dennis BAugust 6, 2021The “free” beach chairs (your resort fee covers the cost) are actually $5 camping chairs and completely inappropriate for the beach. Also, no umbrellas at all. Why even offer this?!
- #Internet TV, #netflex and great location.... right across the beach. Awesome.
- Ryan McArdle-JaimesJanuary 4, 2012The premium rooms in the front tower are amazing. The balcony is bigger and has a better view. The bathroom is smaller than the back tower though.
- Stay in the deluxe ocean view rooms for a killer view and instant surf checks from your lanai!
- Jazzie ChanelApril 27, 2014This is an awfully busy&noisy place. Have to walk to just get to any shop/restaurant/pool in the building. Finding entry to come into is nuts too. (There's an entrance for buses). Choose another hotel
- Pyramid PortalAugust 21, 2014Beautiful posh hotel with amazing ocean views with everything at your fingertips.
- Jill BoyleMay 26, 2013Janeen at the front desk is wonderful- always smiling, great sense of humor and wonderful aloha spirit!
- Good luck trying to navigate the hotel between the elevators and having parts of the hotel randomly closed for special events its like walking trough a labyrinth, it gets old quick.
- Ask for a room with outlets on the bedside laps (usually the front tower).
- Great service. Have status and always get upgraded. Was at Sheraton Waikiki down the street. This is much quieter and the rooms are nicer.
- Catalina VelezJuly 28, 2011Best place to stay on Waikiki. It's in a central place to everything. We had the time of our life's.
- JordanOctober 23, 2011Best pillows ever. Hotel is across the street from the beach where a lot of bums live. Don't bring valuables there.
- Enjoy free nightly, poolside entertainment at Moana Terrace, third floor near Sansei and overlooking Waikiki Beach
- Don't know what the new Resort Fee is for...but an otherwise good hotel and more up to date than the Hyatt.
- JennNovember 25, 2012This is a standard 3 star hotel with some very nice, albeit not luxurious accommodations, the drapes need to be updated. Beware of $25.00 resort charge, usually not posted on rates, in fine print.
- Don't leave cigarette butts any where whole resort is smoke free including balcony's and its $250 if you get caught!
- Steph KatrinaSeptember 22, 2016Large hotel with shopping on the first floor. Rooms are okay, they aren't particularly nice.
- Rob JohnsonNovember 17, 2012They were nice and waived the resort fee for us! Pays to kill them with kindness!
- Clayton SeymourApril 16, 2013The hotel is great and at a very reasonable rate. However, they do charge a $25 resort fee despite what they advertise.
- The breakfast buffet at the grill on the first floor is key...not too expensive and extremely tasty, try the coconut syrup instead of maple!
- AlohaBruceSeptember 25, 2011Perfect for folks on biz or on the go. Valet parking expensive. We have discount rates call 800 843 8771
- Byron MFebruary 2, 2013Don't expect service at the pool bar if you arrive at happy hour. The bar is understaffed!
- Don't bother using the hotel's concierge service to plan anything you want to do. They constantly leave out details that could alter your plans and that definitely effect the prices of things.
- Geoff TrimpolJune 27, 2011Rooms 06 through 11 above ventilation for parkade facing mountain and back pool. Noisy parties on some holiday weekends!
- The maid service here is wonderful and one of the best views in town!!
- Great hotel! Choose the tower closest to the beach, don't settle for 'just' beach view from other tower!
- I echo the resort fee comment. Last time here the manager was willing to wave it...not so this trip. The fee is not noted when booking so I have elevated the issue to my company's travel agent.
