- Warm decor. Saturday brunch and early evening staff behind the bar and service staff are easy on the eyes plus they provide amazing courteous customer service. So on to drinks and food..YES!Upvoted Sep 17
- melissa HochmanJanuary 30, 2015Most underrated brunch spot. You'll easily get a table 12-1. love the $5 champagne or breakfast negroni. Get Scottish eggs, waffle for the table and the kale salad (trust me on the salad)
- Omg! Pickled Fried Cauliflower. And you get the burger and chicken sandwich. You can not go wrong with the food, thirst quenching beverages and cool staff. #wilfie&nell
- Mitu KhandakerJanuary 29, 2017One of my favorite brunch go-to. Try the Black Kale Salad! Also great soda bread. I never know why this place is not more crowded for brunch. Great food and $5 cocktails!
- Delicious Brunch menu items. My favorites are the Huevos Rancheros and Grilled Cheese and Egg Sanhwich. From the regular and on the Brunch menu is the Dry Aged Burger. It is amazing!
- Cagla IcacanFebruary 22, 2020Cozy atmosphere to share with a couple of friends-Got one of the small booths on a packed Friday night. The staff was very helpful. Burger with fries was the highlight of the night. So go for it!
- Kayleigh HarringtonSeptember 23, 2016Snag the big table in the back by the bar and a cucumber gimlet. Great for casual dates and drinks with coworkers.
- Sameepa ShettySeptember 28, 2014The real winner is NOT the grilled cheese but the hamburger & sliders. Of course the craft cocktails cannot be missed. Great spot. Too crowded over weekends though.
- If you have a sizeable group, maybe 10+, then plan ahead and get the big cozy booth. There aren't a lot of spaces in NYC where a large group can feel like a single entity.
- L. T.December 24, 2015What a great atmosphere in this pub! Great service too. And don't miss the stuffed portobello burger. Yum!
- Victoria NatenzonMay 3, 2014Such a cute spot but don't go on a weekend because you won't be able to appreciate the good drinks and great atmosphere because it's just so crowded you can't move.
- Leah SchallerApril 19, 2015Grilled cheese was pretty tasty! But those Scotch eggs were something of a delightful surprise as well. And, handsome men hang out here. What's not to love?
- The Corcoran GroupJuly 19, 2013A popular haunt for British transplants. While there's a great late-night bar scene, the food is not to be missed. We love the grilled cheese here!
- Hanna BKApril 9, 2017Cool and relaxed bar that has open during the night. The people there are very cool and you're having a lot of space if its getting later.
- Rob HunwickApril 5, 2015Local favourite NYC bar. Always easy to meet randoms at the bar when it's busy and learn how to drink like an American - that means shots!
- Ryan AmbsJanuary 14, 2015Old faithful. Can be crowded but really the best bar in west village that is suitable for any company or occasion. Don't overthink it.
- Olek MalahoffOctober 13, 2014Burger is rich and is super filling. Fried chicken sandwich is surprisingly delicious. Beer list isn't too expansive but gets the job done.
- Kosha ShahOctober 25, 2014Cocktails excellent! Come here early to grab a table! Otherwise it gets super crowded after 8ish.
- Serious EatsSeptember 15, 2013Neighborhood bar with mostly successful pub food, most of which includes local ingredients from New York bakeries and the like.
- Six Point makes an Irish Ale just for Wilfie (or maybe Nell). Tastes just like Smithwicks but more Brooklyn-y. Ask for it and wink like you know what you're talking about.
- Larry LaBurrJune 29, 2015Absolutely divine Pullman grilled cheese sandwich (take it with the caramelized onions!). Small space w minimal seating. Typically NYC overpriced drinks.
- Jon BarberSeptember 1, 2013Scotch Eggs to die for! My favorite bar in NYC by a long way. Great atmosphere. Stunning cocktails. Decent prices. Come here. Now.
- ᴡ mcgeeJuly 3, 2011Bramble cocktail was tasty, but don't order it if you're on a date. The seeds from the blackberries are not your friend. Their version of Pimms Cup is a nice, summery drink too.
- Try to snag the comfy leather armchair to the right and around the corner from the front door. And don't miss the food--grilled corned beef & gruyere with a side of fries and a plate of pickles.
- Love the hot apple cider on a cold day. Get it with applejack, it's less sweet than the bourbon.
- Kathryn DMarch 15, 2016Cozy, quiet atmosphere. Drinks and the ploughman's platter easily occupy a Sunday afternoon.
- Mark ForscherApril 8, 2015Very nice bartenders and surprisingly good bar food. Few people said it's "cozy." If by "cozy" they mean "crowded with bros" then I'd agree.
- Zach FriedlandJuly 18, 2013Nice and low key to grab a drink with a friend, grab a captain Lawrence sunblock while you can, awesome!
- Chet ManciniFebruary 7, 2015Super crowded, but great cocktails and decent tap. Ambience is second to none.
- Operating the bathroom doors (while drunk) is like solving a very difficult brain teaser. I feel like the chimes from Legend of Zelda should go off when you get it right.
- Cocktails are decent — try McQueen! 🥃 get there after dinner service, better vibes.
- In the winter come for the hot apple cider spiked with calvados. Great spot for day drinking and they make an awesome grilled cheese if you get hungry!
- best local in the West village! Great at all hours - bar seats are the way to go
- Amanda KopmanNovember 3, 2011EaterNY placed this on the list of restaurants where you can find beautiful people. It's true. Not sure the beautiful people are eating here...or anywhere.
- Great crowd but gets packed early. No chance getting a seat after 6 for happy hour.
- Pretty much my go to for a fun crowd. Good looking people too.
- Jason DesmaraisOctober 10, 2012Awesome place. Will definitely return. Great drinks, food, service. 5 stars.
