Home of the fried clam strip! They're yummy and hard to get outside New England. Really, the best casual food on the North Shore. Make this your meal spot if you're going to visit nearby Castle Hill.
All food gluten free except onion rings, clam cakes, and sandwich rolls
The best fried clams around! And if you have a dairy allergy, they even batter it with coconut milk if you ask. 👍🏻
One of the best lobster rolls we have tried!!! Also, following other comments, we tried the fried clams which are great. But you must be aware of the large lines.
If it's not to busy ask if they can do the onion rings gluten free. Amazing, delicious treat (on top of their fantastic GF menu)
Big SevenJanuary 27, 2019Prepare to eat the freshest fried fish, clams, calamari and shrimp on the coast. A no nonsense, casual restaurant with a full bar.- If you're allergic to dairy, they can also make all the fried items (except fries/onion rings) with coconut milk and it tastes amazing!
- The clam cakes here are phenomenal — best in Massachusetts hands down!
- Eat outside under the tent in the summer — and enjoy a gorgeous sunset!

sarah bundyApril 18, 2014every tourist thinks that Woodmans is the place to go to for great seafood. But if you are from Ipswich or close by you know that JT Farnham's is the place to go!- Outdoor seating out back offers gorgeous views of the Essex River and surrounding marshes
- Eat your fried clams upstairs on the top deck and enjoy some great views!
- The upstairs area is beautifully renovated — get plenty of oysters!
