Daily fresh fish specials. Uni from CA or Japan. Garden salad $5, yellowtail jalapeño $13 & uni sushi CA $3.50 per piece. Never too busy and quiet enough to hear your friends.

They have the most amazing mushroom soup I've ever had. Ever. I'm not joking. What a sleeper of a restaurant. The uni is also insanely fresh and the sushi is on-point.

Had a great omakase - the sushi pieces were just the right size - not too big. Get the hitachino white ale to go with it!

Amazing lunch special: 3 Maki rolls for $12.50, and bento boxes are a good deal during lunch time. Eel salmon rolls and soft and have a great ratio of fish to rice.

Get the Yuba Combo Platter (8 pieces sashimi, 8 pieces sushi & 1 roll.) That + the Yuba roll (so unique!) & the "sweet corn tempura" (aka Asian corn fritters) was the perfect amount for 2 people. Yum!

Sushi and sashimi platter for lunch is not a bad deal. Time from order to being served was long, so it’s not for a quick bite

Absolutely outstanding service. Ordered the spicy special at the recommendation of the server. While it wasn't spicy, it was fresher than your average roll, and tastier too :-)

Little germ among st.marks little Tokyo. Not your average Japanese, menu is tailored to higher end / rare fish. More different options than other cheapo /pseudo Japanese.

The kampachi at Yuba is unusally soft this Friday (7/6) for a fish that is often chewy. This texture brings out delicate buttery flavor.
