Another Middle Eastern-focused gem in East Village with limited tables. If you manage to grab a seat, it's a great place to chill. The hot toasted almond "rose" pastry out of the oven was fantastic.

Cozy up at a window seat w/ a Stumptown brew and baked goods, particularly the dulce de leche cookie and lemon shortbread bar. Add a Zucker's halwa rose to the mix for an Israeli-esque bite.

The Super Salad is the best salad I've had in the neighborhood, maybe the entire city. It's filling but not huge, so you just leave satisfied.

Cinnamon roll was tasty. Other, less typical rolls (date, chocolate, etc.) also looked good. Yogurt with homemade granola was excellent. Pleasant escape from the hubbub of the East Village.

They make the best fruit cake made from dates, figs, apricots, and four different types of nuts called Love Load. It is the best fruit cake. And it's dairy-free (non-dairy) too!

The East Village baker is stuffing its jelly donuts with actual meat, for a sweet-savory handheld treat. Powdered-sugar exterior and option for turkey/gravy or turkey/cranberry fillings.
