- As a native German living in NYC, this place sated my stomach and soul. Service is friendly and the food is authentic and super tasty. For over an hour I was transported to my childhood and Germany.Upvoted Oct 3
- amNewYorkOctober 4, 2011There's no better place to get a taste of the nabe's rich German heritage than at this Bavarian resto. Stammtisch serves all the schnitzel, sauerkraut and brats you can handle in a cozy pub setting.Upvoted 1 week ago
- janelle guntherJanuary 19, 2013so many great draft German beers, served in a Zum Stammtisch stoneware stein... don't waste your time on a Bud Light bottle! Prost!
- Village VoiceAugust 15, 2014Best of all, though, is an amazing take on steak tartare, deep-red and nearly fatless beef molded on bread points and garnished with capers and raw onions. And no egg! Read more
- All the wursts are excellent, and the authentic German salats are as good as my Oma’s. Hit up the Pork Store for imported beers and treats.
- Lord Govnah Rosevelt T. Cromwell Esquire the ThirdAugust 8, 2015The decor is amazing...and the staff makes you feel like you are back in 1940's Germany
- Sean SmithApril 29, 2017A delightful taste of Germany. The Jagërschnitzel is great, with a rich mushroom gravy. Big steins of beer. Prepare to leave full, but check out the store next door.
- Tom GazdagOctober 18, 2022Phenomenal goulash soup and the weiner schnitzel is perfection. Wonderful service and atmosphere. A neighborhood mainstay.
- Henry JoerzJuly 23, 2013Celebrating My Grandma Margaret Deckerts life with famlat Zum Stammtisch. We will miss You till we see you again soon in heaven. Mean while i'm having a beer and a weinerschnitzel. Love You Grandma

- Viktoria KatsMarch 2, 2014Wonderful family restaurant with delicious German food. Decor makes you feel like you are in Germany...highly recommend!
- Awesome German food and they even have roasted goose in December
- Besides the authentic best German food around Zums serves up the best cheeseburger you will ever eay. Fresh meat and a well sized burger.
- The Jägerschnitzel is overrated. Würst is good, if underwhelming. The goulash & spätzle, however, is fantastic. Have it with tasty beer, and walk out feeling not-as-gut-busted as you might expect.
- NatalieNovember 21, 2017Must try! Share the portions. The sausages and jagger schnitzel are great. Everything on the menu is great.
- John KasperSeptember 13, 2018Large portions that you could easily splits especially if you want desert. Very good potato salad.
- Mallory MartellJuly 10, 2013Amazing!!! Just the way my Grandma would cook it! Only disappointment (sorry there had to be one) was the spaetzle... It was more spaghetti shaped vs the hand cut pieces
- D VolpFebruary 10, 2019Excellent!! Jaegerschnitzel, red cabbage, spaetzle, and apple strudel was absolutely amazing!
- David GOctober 7, 2010Excellent atmosphere, service A+, and must try goulash soup, prime rib, and veal jeagerschnitzel. Go go go.
- Jerry and Julie tend the bar together on Fridays and Saturdays, which means you'll not be left high and dry.
- Andrea ScelisiApril 30, 2013Burger was delish!!!!! totally eat there again and Servce was great as well! very attentive
- Dave KonigJanuary 7, 2012If you want the Spaetzle you'll have to go there Tuesdays and Thursdays. Apparently there's limited availability on a traditional German side dish at this supposedly German establishment.
- Andrea DulkoAugust 9, 2014Don't sleep on the Leberkase sandwich. Available at the bar only!! Double pretzel roll FTW.
- Journo GirlJune 12, 2013Apparently there is a $4 charge for sharing. Achtung! But the place is nice, a little overdone, but sehr gutes Essen..
- John TantilloNovember 14, 2013Food is wonderful. But attitude is brusque. The question is whether wonderful food is worth the nonsense u must experience by staff. If u r up for it, then just do it. Don’t say I didn’t warn u!
