The Standard Bank Joy of Jazz 2012 - taking place 23 - 25 August 2012 - marks thirteen years of putting South Africa on the international jazz map. The annual fest attracts an audience of 20 000, across 7 venues in Johannesburg's buzzing Newtown Cultural precinct. With an international line-up of top artists, and an exciting mix of home-grown talent, The Standard Bank Joy of Jazz has contributed to the cultural exchange between artists and many international performers have met their local counterparts and subsequently collaborated on various projects. Importantly,The Standard Bank Joy of Jazz has also seen a phenomenal growth in the number of developing jazz artists who have been given exposure and a platform on which to perform.
