The MPI Washington State Chapter was chartered on May 26, 1981. In 1981, we started the Chapter with 50 members and grew to 300 members by the end of 2005-2006. The Chapter has a very distinct demographic of members with the blend of Eastern and Western Washington and has a strong Planner to Supplier ratio of 45% to 55%. MPIWSC conducts more monthly educational programs (8 total) per year than most chapters. We have participated in joint ventures with the MPI Oregon Chapter each Spring in producting the Cascadia Educational Conference and with PCMA Pacific Northwest Chapter in producing The Meetings Industry Summit held each September. We are a financially sound Chapter and were one of the first chapters to have its own website.
