    この銅像は日米友好の記念としてアメリカガールスカウト50周年とガールスカウト日本連盟の世界連携加入を記念して1962（昭和37）年３月18日に建てられました。台座には「やくそく」と彫られていて「ガールスカウトの友情」を示す像とされています。
