Rim BodNovember 2, 2015It's worth a visit, but perhaps not repeated visits. This island (now landlocked) is something every Japanese person has studied about at school. Worthwhile to pair with Glover Garden.Upvote1Downvote
NaoMay 9, 2015元来、出島は来舶ポルトガル人の居住のために海を埋め立て寛永13年（1636）に完成したが、翌年の島原の乱を契機に同16年幕府はポルトガル人を渡航禁止とし、出島は空家となった。 そこで寛永18年(1641）平戸のオランダ商館をここに移した。以来、安政の開国まで約220年間、出島はオランダ屋敷と呼ばれた。この地を通じて欧州との経済・文化交流が行われ、日本の近代化に大きく貢献した。 (長崎市HP参照）
