It's a nice temple with fewer crowds so you can actually feel the religious spirit here.

My favorite in the area - overwhelming richness in gold and wooden cravings! And much calmer than the other spots, gives you time to relax...

【国宝】指定名称は「大猷院霊廟」…德川三代將軍家光の廟であって、慶安四年遺命により造営された。本殿、相の間、拝殿はこの霊廟の建築中最も力をつくした部分で、全体にわたり漆を塗りこれに金箔をおし、或いは極彩色をほどこし莊麗であって東照宮とともに江戸時代初期を代表する建築である。
