The park is a lot smaller than the signage would lead you to believe (and the waterfall is more of a trickle than a stream), but overall it's a nice escape from the city life that surrounds it.

この場所は、元は忠臣蔵で有名な赤穂浅野家の下屋敷がありました。のちに盛岡藩南部美濃守の屋敷となり、明治29年に皇族有栖川家の御用地、大正7年には高松宮家の御用地となりました。昭和9年、公園用地として東京市に賜与され、現在は港区立の公園となっています。

上は子供の公園、下は池があったりして自然の豊かな公園になっています。上の公園は外国人に占拠される時も有ります

元は盛岡藩下屋敷。台地末端の断崖の高低差を遺憾無く発揮した作庭。池泉周囲の雰囲気は勿論、最深部の滝へと長く続く渓流沿いの風景が見事。

目の前にサーティーワンがあるので、アイスを買って公園のベンチで食べるのがおすすめです。ただし、ゴミ箱はないので、ゴミは持ち帰りましょう。

そろそろ梅の季節。梅は公園の坂を広尾側から登って中程を左に折れたところの広場がきれいです。
