昭和57年6月23日、東北新幹線が国鉄大宮駅から暫定開業したのを記念したモニュメントです。下にある車輪は大宮駅から盛岡行きの1番列車、やまびこ11号第1号車輪です。…大宮駅西口のダイエー入口前(2F)にあります。
