Amazing view from up here! In winter, take the bus from Ogimachi bus stop / car park to reach the observation deck as you can't walk up the hill!

Possibly the best view to sightsee the gassho and its surroundings from up here.Watch out for black ice during the winter time.

Traditional houses with roofs slanting at 60°. Nice ambience with plenty of scenic pictures, backdrop of snow capped mountains and river running along at foothills

The climb from the signposted starting point at the foot of the hill is about 10 minutes, 15 at a slower pace.

白川郷を一望できるスポット。麓から徒歩でも10分ちょっとで到着しますが、シャトルバスも利用できるようです。ここはおススメです。

荻町城は、約400年前、室町8代将軍足利義政の命令で信州松代から白川郷へ進出した、内ケ島為氏の家臣山下氏勝の居城だった場所だそうです。

荻町集落を一望できる展望台。冬のライトアップ時は三脚での場所取りが横行して阿鼻叫喚。

シャトルバスでも行けますが白川郷のバス停から歩いて登ることもできます（道路は舗装されています）．

朝早く（6時～7時）くらいが人がいなくていいです。夜の景色もいいですが、非常に暗いので注意してください。
