Stumbled across this place while they were doing a ceremony to ring the bell. The thing is HUGE, and if you get a chance to help hit it you'll be taken aback by the force it requires.

Love roaming Seoul and suddenly coming across cool monuments such as this. Modern city with long standing historical sights everywhere. Very cool.

In the Joseon Dynasty,this bell was the center of the castle.The bell was hit to announce the opening and closing of the 4 gates around Seoul. Read more

새해 타종행사때 앞쪽으로 구경오면 볼거리는 많지만 사람이 많아서 끝날때 까지 못움직이는 단점.
