    【東京都指定旧跡】八代将軍吉宗が建立した赤坂氷川神社の地は、元禄のころは浅野土佐守（三次浅野家）の下屋敷がありました。三次藩は安芸広島藩から五万石を与えられた支藩で、初代藩主の娘は元禄赤穂事件の浅野内匠頭長矩の正室・阿久里です。内匠頭が切腹した際、阿久里は出家し瑶泉院と称し、実家である三次朝野家（浅野式部小輔長照）に引き取られ、死去するまでここで幽居していました。

    広島藩支藩の三次藩の下屋敷があった場所…とされるが、下屋敷としてはあまりにも江戸城に近すぎる気がする。三次藩は初代広島藩主・浅野長晟の庶長子・長治が 5 万石を分知されて立藩。「土佐守」は広島藩から養子に入った 3 代・長澄の名乗り。三次藩は長澄の子が次々と夭折して 1720 年に断絶、所領は広島藩に戻された。以前は九神社の前に東京都指定旧跡としての案内板があったようだが、現在は見当たらない。
